Star Plus

“Star Plus launched its new brand identity, created by v3, to an audience of millions of people across India. The spectacular launch took place at the glitzy Star Parivaar TV awards. Star TV CEO Uday Shankar and film and TV megastar Shahrukh Khan introduced the new brand to the nation.”

Over the course of it’s lifespan within v3, many individuals were involved in the development of what the brand has now evolved into. I was part of the team that were involved in the final push to make Star Plus everything it could be, and to have all the elements ready in time for their highly anticipated launch event.

My main focus towards the final stages of the project were to storyboard and realise two of the three idents we went on to create as part of an identity package, which Star would use for their on-screen presence. Once completed I went on to do all the final changes and versioning of the idents before the launch ceremony, which you can see a clip of below.

Although much of the initial concept still remains in the final version of the heat ident, I wanted to post the animation as it stood before the client went on to develop the style and clarity of the piece.

This last video is the compilation of the three idents produced, which were catagorised as Heat, Joy and Beauty. Although the initial concept was not my own, I was ultimately the one responsible for the execution of the Joy ident, which was much more 3D heavy.
